Marco Ruffato
Dr. Marco Ruffato was born and raised in Italy. He graduated in 2003 from the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Padua. Following his graduation, he traveled to Canada where he completed an internal medicine, surgery, and emergency rotational internship. In 2012 he successfully completed a residency in anesthesia and pain management at the prestigious Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in Massachusetts.
Dr. Ruffato is a Diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia and he is one of the fewer than 300 board-certified anesthesiologists practicing in North America. Dr. Ruffato has practiced medicine internationally in Italy, the UK, Canada, and the USA.
He is proficient in ultrasound, endoscopy, emergency medicine/surgery and he is a certified medical veterinary acupuncturist. His high level of expertise and experience help pets by using advanced pain management techniques, designing specific anesthetic protocols, and doing anesthesia for critical and high-risk patients.
During his spare time, Dr. Ruffato enjoys hiking, bike riding, fishing, and spending time with his family.
